A pair of high-end estates in the Adirondacks are scheduled for auction later this month and in early October, according to a report from the Times Union. Both properties will be sold through live auctions with teleconference participation available.
One of the properties, Camp Iroquois in Saranac Lake, is recognized as one of the area’s historic “Great Camps.” The estate covers nine acres and features a 4,000-square-foot main residence. Amenities include six sleeping cabins, a dining hall, a four-car garage, tennis and pickleball courts, a workshop, and gardens.
Camp Iroquois was last purchased at auction in 2020 for $2.4 million. It is currently listed at $4.3 million but will go to auction on September 23 without reserve, meaning there is no minimum bid required for purchase.
The second property up for auction is located in Bloomingdale within the town of St. Armand. This estate encompasses 295 acres across three parcels and includes two lakes, a brook running through the grounds, and numerous hiking trails. There are three residential structures: a main house built in 1838 measuring 1,700 square feet; a guest cabin added later with 1,300 square feet; and a recently constructed log cottage spanning 700 square feet. Additional buildings include a garage, workshop, woodshed, and generator.
Previously listed at nearly $5.3 million, this property will be auctioned on October 9 with a reserve price set at $2.3 million.
Platinum Luxury Auctions is managing both sales.
In recent months, significant Adirondack real estate deals have attracted attention. Shawn Todd of Todd Interests entered into contract to acquire Whitney Park—a vast 36,000-acre tract in Long Lake—as well as the Cady Hill mansion in Saratoga Springs for potential luxury resort development.
