Amazon has expanded its philanthropic efforts in New York City, focusing on safety, health, and digital access. On September 8, 2025, Commonpoint Queens reported that Ring, an Amazon subsidiary, donated over $90,000 in home security products and services. The donation includes 250 Ring Video Doorbells and other equipment for residents aged 60 and older in Northeast Queens through Older Adult Centers and Naturally Occurring Retirement Community programs.
An internal announcement from Amazon detailed an employee-only blood drive scheduled for August 26, 2025, at its JFK27 Manhattan office. This initiative was organized by Project GiveBack and the ISV Team Culture in partnership with the New York Blood Center to address a regional summer shortage by recruiting 384 donors. The New York Blood Center had declared a blood emergency in June 2025 due to declining donations.
