The Charles B. Wang Center will feature several cultural events and exhibitions in the fall of 2025. The Skylight Gallery will host “Through the Light: Contemporary Jogakbo by Wonju Seo” from September 26 through December 31. This exhibition offers a modern take on traditional Korean wrapping cloths, using translucent textiles to create an immersive space where light plays a central role. A workshop on jogakbo is scheduled for September 27.
In addition to the textile exhibit, the Wang Center Theatre will present a shadow puppet show inspired by Wonju Seo’s work on November 9. On November 22, “Magic Q’s Veil of Secrets,” a performance by a Chinese illusionist, is set to take place. Four films are also scheduled for screening at the theatre during the fall.
Workshops focusing on flower arrangement, bonsai, and other crafts inspired by nature are planned as part of the season’s programming.
Jinyoung Jin, director of Asian art and culture at the Wang Center, stated: “Whether through textiles, plants, magic or shadows, I hope you’ll continue to find inspiration, connection and warmth at the Wang Center as the year winds down and the days grow colder.”
More information about these events can be found on the Wang Center website.
