The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) Region II, which covers the Mid-Atlantic area, recently held a conference in the Washington, D.C. region. The main issue discussed was the challenges faced by federal workers during the ongoing government shutdown and reductions in staffing.
During the event, participants focused on how these circumstances are affecting federal employees’ livelihoods and job security. The discussions also addressed strategies for supporting workers who are dealing with uncertainty due to these government actions.
CBTU Region II continues to advocate for policies that protect federal workers from further instability and ensure fair treatment during periods of government disruption.
