Film and television production in Westchester County continues to be active, with a variety of projects from major studios and streaming platforms choosing the region for its diverse locations and proximity to New York City.

This year, several high-profile productions have filmed in Westchester. Steven Spielberg worked on a new UFO-themed feature, reportedly titled “Disclosure,” with Emily Blunt and Wyatt Russell, shooting scenes in White Plains. The film is expected to be released in June 2026.

Paramount+ revived “Dexter” with “Dexter: Resurrection,” starring Michael C. Hall. The series filmed at Lionsgate Studios in Yonkers and on location, using Westchester’s streets as stand-ins for Miami and New York City.

CBS and Paramount+’s “Elsbeth,” a procedural comedy-drama starring Carrie Preston, is now in its third season. The show has used sites such as Westchester Community College, the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains, and Yonkers City Hall to double for Manhattan locations.

Ben Stiller’s comedy “Focker-in-Law” filmed in Mamaroneck this summer, with local businesses serving as backdrops. The film is scheduled for release on Thanksgiving Day 2026.

NBC’s long-running “Law & Order: SVU” continues to shoot throughout Westchester, taking advantage of the county’s varied locations that can represent different parts of New York City.

“The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” an NBC comedy-drama starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe, filmed at venues including the Westchester County Center, Rye Ridge Shopping Center, Zuppa Café, and The Wedge Sandwich Shop.

The action thriller “F.A.S.T.,” written by Taylor Sheridan and starring Brandon Sklenar, shot scenes in Rye Brook and New Rochelle. The film follows a former special forces officer leading a black ops mission and is slated for a 2027 release.

Apple TV+’s drama “Friends and Neighbors,” featuring Jon Hamm and Amanda Peet, was filmed in Rye, Harrison, Eastchester, and Briarcliff Manor. The series uses the Sleepy Hollow Country Club as a key location.

According to the press release, “The county’s blend of authenticity, versatility, and professional infrastructure helps productions large and small bring their stories to life.”

The variety of genres being produced—thrillers, comedies, dramas—demonstrates the appeal of Westchester’s settings. Productions have taken place in multiple communities across the county, making it one of the most active film destinations in New York.
