Fresh produce grown at the FoodLab Farm on the Stony Brook Southampton campus is available for purchase every Friday as part of Farmer’s Market Fridays. The market operates from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Library lobby and runs throughout September and October.

The produce sold at these events is harvested from the FoodLab Farm, which is located on campus less than a mile from where it is sold. This initiative highlights local agriculture and provides fresh options to the campus community.

A special tabling event for FoodLab will take place on Friday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., also in the Library lobby. The event aims to inform attendees about FoodLab’s activities and impact at Stony Brook Southampton.

FoodLab serves as an incubator for regional food systems by supporting innovation through education, practical learning experiences, and partnerships within the community. Its mission is to position Stony Brook University as a leader in addressing food-related issues globally.

Visitors to the event can meet members of the FoodLab team, learn about volunteer or academic opportunities, and find ways to participate in efforts that support healthier people, communities, and environmental sustainability.
