The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) held its 2025 International President’s Classic golf tournament at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine. The event raised over $150,000 to support the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL), which focuses on preserving the history of workers, immigrants, and communities connected to Maine’s mills.

“This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us,” said IAM International President Brian Bryant. “Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”

Participants included IAM members, labor allies, and supporters from across North America. The day featured a golf tournament with dozens of teams, raffles, giveaways, and remarks from both IAM Union officials and Maine MILL leadership.

Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of the Maine MILL, said: “This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”

Funds raised are designated for rehabilitating the museum’s former Camden Yarns Mill building in Lewiston, Maine. Construction has already started on an addition that will serve as Maine MILL’s permanent home. The expanded facility is expected to open in summer 2026 with spaces for permanent collections, temporary galleries, a classroom, children’s area, and design lab.

More than 50 organizations sponsored holes at the event. Top sponsors included several IAM offices—such as the International President’s Office; Eastern Territory; District 4; Local S6—and companies like Jones Granger Law Firm and Employee Benefit Systems Inc.
