IAM District 142 recently held its second annual charity golf tournament at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix. The event was organized to raise funds for Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines, a charity supported by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).

The fundraiser has become a competitive event among various IAM districts. Proceeds from the tournament, including money raised through games and donated prizes, are used to support the training and placement of service dogs. These dogs assist visually impaired individuals, veterans dealing with PTSD, and autistic children. All services provided by Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines are offered at no cost to recipients.

Staff from Guide Dogs of America attended the event with puppies in training. Attendees expressed enthusiasm for both the cause and the amount of funds raised. More information about Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines can be found at https://www.guidedogsofamerica.org/.
