More than 3,200 members of IAM Union District 837 at Boeing’s St. Louis facilities are scheduled to vote on a revised contract offer from the company on Sunday, August 3, starting at 10 a.m. Central Time. If union members reject the proposal, a strike is set to begin at midnight on Monday, August 4.
The modified offer from Boeing includes several changes in response to the union’s concerns. The company has withdrawn its Alternative Workweek Schedule (AWS) proposal, meaning current overtime policies will remain as they are. Employees at the maximum pay rate would receive an added annual increase of 50 cents per hour. For pension-eligible workers, there will be a full $10 pension multiplier increase in the first year instead of spreading it over three years; however, this applies only to those retiring after January 1, 2026.
Other elements of the offer—including proposed wage increases totaling 20%, a $5,000 ratification bonus, vacation and sick leave policies, and healthcare provisions—remain unchanged from previous proposals.
This upcoming vote comes after union members overwhelmingly rejected Boeing’s earlier contract proposal on July 27.
