For the fifth consecutive year, members of the IAM Local 1746 Women’s Committee and the IAM Union Eastern Territory have joined efforts with East Hartford Public School in Connecticut to support a backpack rally event. The collaboration involved collecting donations, packing backpacks, and participating as a vendor during distribution day.

IAM Union Local 1746 and IAM Union Eastern Territory volunteers distributed thousands of items such as pencils, pens, rulers, activity books, stickers, and other school supplies at the event.

The ongoing partnership aims to provide students in East Hartford with essential school materials before the start of the academic year.
