IBM has announced the launch of three new AI agents on the Oracle Fusion Applications AI Agent Marketplace. These agents are intended to help Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications customers improve operational efficiency. IBM also revealed plans to introduce additional agents for HR and supply chain functions, built with IBM watsonx Orchestrate, to support business process transformation across various industries.

The three new agents, developed by IBM Consulting using Oracle AI Agent Studio, aim to automate tasks and workflows within Oracle Fusion Applications. The agents include:

– Intercompany Agent, which automates the review of intercompany agreements.
– Smart Sales Order Entry Agent, designed to streamline the sales-order creation process by generating relevant data for the order-to-cash process.
– Requisition to Contract Agent, which addresses the workflow of converting purchase requisitions to contract purchase orders.

Kaushal Kurapati, GVP of Product Management for Fusion AI at Oracle, stated, “As AI agents rapidly transform enterprise applications, organizations are seeking new ways to drive productivity, agility, and innovation at scale. The new IBM AI agents in the Oracle AI Agent Marketplace, seamlessly built with Oracle AI Agent Studio, will help customers to address their unique business needs and drive growth with speed and confidence.”

Neil Dhar, Global Managing Partner at IBM Consulting, added, “Oracle and IBM are combining our collective enterprise AI and business transformation expertise to help clients embrace agentic AI as a driver of innovation and competitive advantage. These new agents will bring the power of AI directly to our joint clients for the greatest potential impact on their business.”

IBM plans to further expand its offerings for Oracle Fusion Applications by releasing new supply chain and HR agents based on IBM watsonx Orchestrate. Watsonx Orchestrate is an enterprise AI solution designed for developing, deploying, and managing AI agents. It operates on Red Hat OpenShift AI and is intended to coordinate multiple agents across both Oracle and non-Oracle platforms.

Additionally, Oracle plans to make the IBM Granite 4.0 family of AI models available soon through its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Science platform using AI Quick Actions.
