The group is responsible for setting criteria to identify disadvantaged communities for purposes such as reducing co-pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions, preparing regulatory impact statements, and guiding investment allocations under the Climate Act.

The upcoming session will be a non-voting, non-deliberative meeting. It will include an update on the Community Air Monitoring Initiative. The public is invited to listen to the proceedings via webcast, with pre-registration encouraged through a provided WebEx link.

According to the DEC, “This meeting will also be recorded and posted on the Climate Act website within three days, or as soon as practicable.”

The virtual meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m., and members of the public can join by registering online or by dialing in using provided phone numbers and access codes.

Recordings of the meeting are expected to be made available on the official Climate Act website shortly after the event.
