New York State Advisory Council on Drinking Water Quality to address contaminants at December meeting

The New York State Advisory Council on Drinking Water Quality is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The council will discuss updates concerning emerging contaminants, harmful algal blooms, and microplastics.

The meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m. and will be open to the public through in-person attendance at designated locations. A live webcast of the proceedings will also be available.

Members of the public are invited to provide comments either at the in-person locations or remotely. Those interested in speaking can sign up for both options via the webcasting link provided by the council. Written comments may be submitted ahead of time by emailing DWQC@health.ny.gov.

According to the New York State Department of Health, no registration is necessary for those attending in person. Recordings of meetings are typically posted on the department’s website within two weeks after they occur.
