New York State is offering a range of events throughout November, spanning from cultural festivals and parades to food and drink celebrations across multiple regions.
The Great New York State Model Train Fair will take place at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse on November 1-2. This event, now in its 50th year, features over 300 vendor tables and more than 25 operating layouts. Adults can enter for $15 while children under 16 attend for free.
On November 2, the New York City Marathon returns with spectators invited to watch runners as they traverse all five boroughs. Viewing spots include areas near the Brooklyn Academy of Music and attractions such as the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.
From November 3-9, Saratoga Springs will host Discover Saratoga’s Annual Restaurant Week, where visitors can enjoy prix-fixe lunches and three-course dinners at participating restaurants.
The Adirondack Stampede Rodeo is scheduled for November 7-8 at Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls. Attendees can watch competitions like steer wrestling and bronco riding. Tickets start at $32.
Beginning November 7, Eisenhower Park in East Meadow will feature the LuminoCity Festival, an immersive light display event with food trucks, holiday shops, and themed nights. Timed ticketing applies; children aged three and under are admitted free.
Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival occurs on November 7-8 in Ellicottville, where attendees can sample drinks from regional breweries and wineries while enjoying live music.
Glimmerglass Film Days runs from November 13-17 in Cooperstown. The festival includes film screenings at venues such as the National Baseball Hall of Fame along with local food offerings and guided walks.
On November 15, City Winery hosts the NYC Cider Festival in Manhattan. General admission is $40 for those aged 21 or older.
New York Bartender Week takes place statewide from November 17-23. Participating bars will offer exclusive cocktails highlighting New York’s culinary heritage.
Niagara Falls Convention Center presents the Festival of Slice on November 21 with pizza tastings from more than twenty pizzerias competing for awards. Admission prices vary by ticket type; children under sixteen attend free.
Downtown Schenectady will hold its annual Holiday Parade on November 22 featuring floats, marching bands, fire trucks, dance troupes, and Santa Claus. Attendance is free.
Also on November 22, Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre hosts the New York State Craft Brewers Festival with samples from over forty-five breweries included with each ticket purchase.
Holiday Fineries at the Wineries begins on November 22-23 along Hudson Valley’s Shawangunk Wine Trail with wine tastings across several venues decorated for the season.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to Manhattan on November 27 for its ninety-ninth year. Spectators are advised to arrive early to secure viewing spots along the parade route which features balloons, floats, and performances by various acts.
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts launches Peace, Love, and Lights starting November 28—a drive-thru holiday light show located at the historic Woodstock site—with tickets starting at $27 per car.
Lake George’s Lite Up The Village event takes place on November 29 featuring a block party with lights displays and fireworks followed by a parade including Santa Claus; this event is free to attend.
Finally, Syracuse Wine and Chocolate Festival also happens on November 29 at NYS Fairgrounds where guests can sample products from state wineries alongside chocolates and other treats.
