Sands College students contribute to Broadway, TV, and film productions

Sands College of Performing Arts highlights the professional accomplishments of its students and alumni in a recent update. The college notes that its community members are involved in various aspects of the performing arts industry, including design, choreography, stage management, direction, and ensemble formation across the globe.

The college lists numerous Broadway productions featuring its students and graduates. Some of these include “Hamilton,” “Wicked,” “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” and “MJ The Musical.” Other notable shows are “Back to the Future The Musical,” “A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical,” and “The Book of Mormon.”

In television, Sands College affiliates have contributed to a wide range of programs on major networks and streaming platforms. These include series such as “Law & Order: SVU” (NBC), “Saturday Night Live” (NBC), “Boardwalk Empire” (HBO), “Orange Is the New Black” (Netflix), and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” (Amazon Prime). Additional credits span popular shows like “Chicago Fire” (NBC), “Mr. Robot” (USA), and “The Good Fight” (CBS).

Sands College also reports involvement in film projects. Alumni have participated in titles such as “Black Panther,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Moonrise Kingdom,” and “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.” Other films listed include independent features like “Love is Love (short)” and festival selections such as “Miller & Son.”
