Stony Brook Seawolves to host football home opener against Rhode Island September 6

Stony Brook University will host its football home opener at LaValle Stadium on Saturday, September 6, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. The Seawolves, currently ranked #24, are set to play against #9 Rhode Island.

The event is themed “For the Island,” highlighting Long Island’s community and culture. A pregame vendor fair will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. outside Gates 4 and 5, featuring local artists, photographers, florists, and other vendors.

Fans attending the game can expect dollar hot dogs throughout the evening. Local mascots including Wolfie, Finn, Splish, Jimbo Jaws, and Teddy will be present for photos and interaction with attendees.
