Stony Brook Southampton, in collaboration with Stony Brook University’s Office for Research and Innovation, the New York Power Authority (NYPA), and Drone Cadets, will host an event focused on drone technology and its impact on future careers. The event, titled “Careers of Tomorrow: Discover How Drone Technology is Shaping the Future of Work,” is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event aims to introduce attendees to the growing field of drone technology and its uses across various industries. Demonstrations will include piloting drones, aerial imaging, and programming. Experts will be available to discuss educational paths and training options related to this field.

Organizers state that participants can learn about new opportunities in areas such as infrastructure, clean energy, public safety, and environmental monitoring. The event is open to all ages and is free to attend. Registration is encouraged, and refreshments will be provided.
